Trond started riding when he was 14 years old. He always rode bikes like any kid, but this was the first time he bought a real MTB. He first got pumped on it from watching a Pepsi commercial on TV where some trials guy was hopping around on obstacles, and he just wanted to do the same thing. After this he and some friends just started roaming around in the city and the woods looking for places to ride.
From here he started riding with other mountainbikers in his homecity Bergen on the westside of Norway. he entered a couple of XC races when he was 15/16, but he quickly found that he was more into the DH racing and jumping his bike.
For the last years he put his focus on freeride mountain biking- especially dirt jumping and slopestyle became his real passion. After some training sessions in France he did his first dirtjump contest outside of Norway, in Linz at the Austrian King of Dirt in 2005. Trond won this competition and since then he has been going to most of the Freeride/Dirt Jump comps every summer.
Another passion of him besides riding is filming. Last year he created together with his friends from ANTI productions an international and laidback competition named “Days Of Thunder, which united the world’s best freeriders in Northern Europe for a team battle in different disciplines. This year the event returned and he is proud to be part of the progression in the sport.
